We’re excited! Our volunteer medical team is once again on its way to Timor-Leste. Volunteer medicos Dr Noel Bayley and Dr Will Wilson will be working alongside local colleagues including Dr Cesaltino Leno from Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares and Dr Joaquina Mourays, from our friends Maluk Timor’s rheumatic heart disease program. The team will be screening patients for heart problems that we can help with, and doing final check ups on a number of patients who will be coming to Australia for surgery in the next few months.
