Our great friend Sonia Beagley is the sort of supporter who really goes the extra mile. Tomorrow, Sonia flies out from Australia to Timor-Leste, her country of birth, where she’ll be conquering mountains to help us mend broken hearts.
On Sunday, World Heart Day, Sonia will summit Timor-Leste’s highest peak, the 2986 metre Mt Ramelau (Tatamailau).
Sonia (that’s her in the Superwoman t-shirt) is asking friends, family and other supporters to help her reach her goal of raising $20,000 to assist our work. We think Sonia’s a real super hero, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate World Heart Day on Sunday 29 September.
